Guidelines of the School

School Hours

1. School commences at 7.30 a.m daily and students leave the premises at 1.30 p.m.

2. There should be perfect silence when the bell rings at 7.25 a.m and 1.20 p.m, as the school begins and close for the day.

Punctuality & Regularity are essential for all the students

1. If a student has to be absent from school, cause of absence must be entered in his / her record book by the parent or guardian and should be submitted to the class teacher.

2. If a child is absent from school for more than five days due to medical reason, specially infectious disease; a medical certificate must be submitted; for other reasons such as trips, short visits abroad and migration, prior permission should always be obtained from the relevant authority.

3. If your child is sick, write in the student record book the type and time of medication given.

4. Please see that your child gets worm treatment regularly.

5. Once a child comes to school he / she will not be allowed to leave before school closes. Under exceptional circumstances, Rev. Fr. Rector may grant permission for a child to leave at the request of a parent only. In such instances the parent should state the reason in the student’s record book on the permission page.

Dress Code for Boys

1. Shirt, always be tucked in pair of shorts, should not be baggy or tight. White socks (no half socks) and a pair of polishable black shoes. (with a blunt head)

2. Hair should be short, trimmed, parted and combed.

3. Wrist watches are allowed only from grade 5 upwards, and that too only black or silver in colour.

4. Unusually long or short side – burns are not allowed.

5. Use of hair gel is strictly prohibited.

6. No beard or moustache is allowed.

Dress Code for Girls

1. Box pleated frock (should be knee length) with white socks. (no designed shoes)

2. Hair below the neck level should be plaited into two and tied with dark blue ribbons.

3. Short hair should be combed neatly without falling on to the forehead and the parting line should be clear and at the middle. No fancy clip are to be used. Loose hair not allowed. Eye brows should not be removed or shaped. Cosmetics should not be applied.

4. A simple pair of earrings is permitted and no other jewellery is allowed. Gold chains are prohibited. Nails should be cut short and applying nail polish is prohibited.It should be clipped weekly and should not be pointed.

For the Attention of Parents

1. If necessary, parents could meet the teachers on the first Wednesday of every month between 12.00 noon 1.30 p.m to discuss about their children.

2. On other days parents are not allowed to enter the class room. If a parent wants to meet a teacher for an urgent reason, written permission must be obtained from Rev. Fr. Rector.

3. Every Wednesday after 12.00 noon parents can meet Rev. Fr. Rector if necessary.

4. When parents come into the College premises they are required to be dressed in proper attire. Mothers should wear a saree when entering the premises during school hours, when attending meetings and functions. The fathers should wear a shirt and trousers.

5. It is the responsibility of the parents to follow up the child’s progress in studies and for this purpose the parents must :
 a. Examine the child’s daily work in class.
 b. Check on homework and see that it is completed.
 c. Study the child’s progress report and where necessary take remedial action without delay.
 d. Your child should attend ”Dham Pasal” which will enrich his / her spiritual education / growth.

6. Parents should read carefully any circular sent by Rev. Fr. Rector and attend to them promptly.

7. Please inform when there is a change of address or telephone number.

8. Please do settle your monthly fee before 10th of each month.
