In our school, Vesak Day is a much-awaited celebration that brings together students, teachers, and staff to commemorate the birth, enlightenment, and passing of Gautama Buddha. The atmosphere is filled with a sense of tranquility and reverence as the entire school is adorned with vibrant decorations, symbolizing enlightenment and peace. The day begins with a special assembly, where students learn about the life and teachings of the Buddha through captivating presentations and inspiring speeches. Traditional Vesak rituals, such as offering flowers, lighting candles, and chanting prayers, are observed in our school’s dedicated meditation space. Students also actively engage in acts of kindness and compassion by organizing charity drives, distributing food to the needy, and participating in environmental initiatives.
