On the 12th of January 2024, the corridors of Mazenod College echoed with joy and festivity as the young hearts of Grade 01 organized a colorful Thaipongal Festival. The event, which brought together students from Grade 2 to 6, was a testament to the school’s commitment to celebrating cultural diversity and fostering a sense of community.

The Thaipongal Festival, a significant harvest festival in the Tamil culture, was a vibrant affair organized with enthusiasm and creativity by the Grade 01 students. The festival not only allowed them to showcase their talents but also provided an opportunity for cultural exchange and understanding among the different grades.

The highlight of the event was the religious observances conducted by a Hindu Kurukkal, adding a spiritual and traditional touch to the festivities. The sacred rituals and prayers performed by the Hindu Priest created a serene atmosphere, fostering an appreciation for the cultural significance of Thaipongal among the students.
